Where do I throw away oil that was used for cooking?

We use the george foreman grill like every day and we fill up empty jars of ragu with the grease that comes out. What do I do with em? How do I dispose of them properly?Where do I throw away oil that was used for cooking?
I, also put my used oil in old jars. I simply dispose of them with the weekly garbage. I haven't heard of any law against it where I live.Where do I throw away oil that was used for cooking?
One handy-dandy way to put that old cooking oil to use is: do you have any friends or family that has a dirt driveway or lives on a dusty, unpaved road? You can empty out the jars along the drive to keep the dust down. It is not harmful to the environment and they would be grateful for the dust abatement.
Consider making a bio-diesel motor oil from it. You might want to contact a local restaurant to see if they participate in an alternative energy recoup process converting cooking fats into bio-diesel fuel. Check out this site: http://www.fryodiesel.com/. Also check out: http://www.homebiodieselkits.com/homepro鈥?/a> One thing is for sure, don't put it in the sewer system!!!! We pay high enough costs for cleaning out other peoples stupid mistakes from our sewers as such!!! There is a website that that offers insight and info on how to turn your gas hog car into a bio-diesel driving thing! Good luck and a great question too!
Do not pour it in any drain! It causes problems in your personal plumbing as well as major headaches for public systems. Either designate a place in your yard to pour it (this is what I do because we have 4 wooded acres) or dispose of it in the garbage.
I just put it in old orange juice containers, wait for it to cool, and throw it out with the trash. It should be fine in your normal trash. Just don't pour the oil down the drain. Large amounts of oil could clog up the pipes.
Your local dump usually has a flammable liquids or hazardous liquids disposal bin. You would be surprised how many dumps there are in any urban or suburban area and they are usually free to local residents.
i dump mine in the backyard right up against the fence. believe it or not its good for the soil it helps the grass grow;.
put the top on the jar tight

then throw em away ?
