How do you restart a oil furnace?

Fiance bled line already and pushed restart button. Still nothing. How do you restart a oil furnace?
Sometimes it takes more than 1 reset cycle to bleed the line. keep bleeding it until the oil comes out the bleeder in a solid (not foamy ) stream. The reply about the oil filter is accurate . The one about the pilot light is not ,oil furnaces do not have pilot lights.Newer control boxes with the reset button have a safety built in that if you hit the reset button 3 times , the control goes into ';latch up'; mode and you will not be able to reset it without following directions in the manual. If you have this type it will have a flashing light to let you know the status.Other causes could be a blocked nozzle or fuel pump strainer. How do you restart a oil furnace?
Hi...........On the front of your furnace there should be a access door, slide it open and see if the pilot is on.. A small flame.

If not you need to light it or get it lit.. Make sure your main switch is off before you do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a red faced light switch that says ';oil burner';.. You also may need to prime the system, not knowing your system I cannot tell you how to do that. Mine is simple the primer in on the pump going into the furnace..

Make sure the fuel switch is turned-on.. Mines the slide lever gated switch right over the furnace.. If you have a small cup, glass is good as this is a petrolium product and will melt most other containers.. I have a spiggot right out-side the door of the furnace for this purpose... Make sure the electrical switch is off as well before doing this if you have anything electrical that could get splashed by oil accidentally during this process.. Also make sure the area is clean before starting the system, ok?? We don't want any fires!!!

Hope this helps, I've had to do this to mine more often with the older system i had that came with the house when i baught it 13-years ago.... The new furnace I have now is virtually maintenance free..;-))))))) Good Luck with yours!!!
check the oil line filter, very good chance it could be clogged.if you just had a oil delivery sometimes sludge could be drawn and clog the filter.it a messy job /make sure you put a metal container under filter holder to cat ch fuel that leaks out loosen the bolt on top of filter do not remove it,see if you get a good flow if you do retighten the bolt hit the reset on the control panel in front or on the side.give it a shot
