It depends on how you define best... you can really fry in any oil. A lot of people like peanut oil because of the flavor, crispyness and golden color it gives to food. I personally don't use it because healthwise it is not best, I use canola when I wanna be healthy. Is peanut oil the best kind of oil to fry food in? If yes, why?
Do NOT use canola oil in any way.During WW1 german scientist made mustard gas from Rapeseed(canola).Canola oil is NOT fir for human consumption Report Abuse
Is peanut oil the best kind of oil to fry food in? If yes, why?
Peanut oil and canola oil can be used maybe once or twice. Then you will have to throw them away, as they are beginning to degrade, producing unhealthy free radicals.
Hydrogenated vegetable oils (shortening) are unhealthy because they contain trans fats that are very bad for your health. However, they can be used to fry for a long time without spoiling and produce tasty fried food, which is why restaurants used them extensively.
Pure olive oil is great for frying. It can be used repeatedly.
But the best french fries are cooked in coconut oil, as politically incorrect as it may sound. Coconut oil has an undeserved bad reputation. People who live in countries where they eat a lot of coconut oil are healthy. The research was flawed.
the only good oil, and for good I mean healthy end better tasting, is olive oil ( the expansive Italian or Greek one!) It's the best ever for everything you cook or fry... the other ones are all pretty much the same, actually, in my opinion the peanut has too strong of a flavour, it may make the food look better but not taste better
The most common oil used to deep fry something is peanut. It doesn't add flavors to the food and isn't too expensive, but I guess it tastes good. It's best when frying things at high temperatures, and is commonly used around Thanksgiving. Why is that? It can heat up without burning or smoking.
it is one of the better ones yes because it has a very high smoking point meaning you can heat it very high befor it smokes. you need to be careful using peanut oil as many people are alergic to peanuts.
Yes, and some brands are 100% saturated fat Free.
Nowadays, Frying oil have a alternative like light, cholesterol free and suchs
I personally like Canolla oil..for the flavor...but I used Olive oil on my salads.
I like it because it has a very tasty smell. But experts say it contains highly saturated fat, and so it is harmful to heart. So I have to reconsider it.
