Is it safe to use oil paints around baby?

Im painting a Portrait and have an 8 month old baby at home. Is it okay to paint with her around. I know ive heard you shouldnt use oil's when your pregnant so i was just wondering if that applied when they are small. Is it safe to use oil paints around baby?
Ideally, you shouldn't use any chemicals that have odors around anyone, especially children and fetuses. Needless to say, the worst thing possible would be if the child somehow ingested the paint, but ingesting the fumes could still do some harm.

I would suggest (even for yourself) making sure the room is ventilated well enough and that you don't have your child near the room. Also, since smells (and the chemicals in the air) stay in your clothes for a while, I would also suggest to not hold your child or be too close shortly after using the oil paints.... maybe have some separate clothes to paint in would be your best bet. Good luck!Is it safe to use oil paints around baby?
I say the vapors are not safe.
i don't think it's good for the baby.paints are just like a drugs if you smell them for a long time during the day. even grown person feels head ake of the smell, or dizziness.

don't paint if your baby must be there where you want to paint!
No its not good for her a baby to smell those kinds of toxic odors. Find a way for good ventilation.
The smells of the paint may be unusual for your baby some time . Take care about that.
